Description

Hive World’s Kitset Nuc Package provides all the basic components to make your own nuc:

• Sturdy commercial grade timber pieces manufactured from New Zealand wood right here in our region.  Ready to build including floor, 2 x long sides and 2 x short ends with 2 x tanalised timber base supports.
• Galv nuc box lid
• Nuc hive mat made from tempered hardboard
• Steel nuc disc with variable opening size/closed options for transporting.

Kitset package for easy shipping and very simple to put together.  Can be either paraffin-dipped or metal-exed and painted for long life.

Nuc boxes are essential in the apiary – multiple uses include housing swarms as well as making splits a lot simpler.  Provides a cosy haven for small hives starting out, helping them to get ahead.  Also saves the bees having to keep a whole hive warm before there is enough workers to make the job easy.
