Candle Dipping Tube

Hive World now supplies a Candle Dipping Tube for dipping candles up to 43cm long.

This sturdy tube is made from stainless steel and measures 43 cm with an 11cm diameter.

The easiest way to use is to fill with melted beeswax to the height desired for your candle.  Then, using the candle dipping jig https://www.hiveworld.co.nz/product/candle-dipping-jig/ dip your prepared wicks until they reach the desired thickness.  We suggest dipping wicks for 1 minute, then cool for 1-4 minutes before dipping again.  Alternatively, you can dip candles into cold water between steps to hasten the process.

Beeswax melts at 65 degrees Celsius, and it is good practice not to overheat it as this can cause candles to shrink excessively and crack as they cool.  To keep the beeswax melted while you dip, place candle dipping tube in heated water.

Hang your completed candles from a coat hanger or airing frame or similar until completely cooled.
